15 Months- Silas

I realize this is almost a month late, but it is being recorded none-the-less.
May has somehow skipped by with little notice from me, so I'm trying to catch up!

Silas was 15 months on May 2!
He started officially walking the week before this!
Over the course of the month, he quickly cut out all crawling and is only a walker now!

Weight: 22lb 2oz
Height 30.5in.
Head Circ: 19in

He is on the same schedule for the most part. Same 2 naps a day with much more activity in between now that he is walking.  He is less interested in food, but Dr. is not at all concerned about weight! Still gives miralax a couple times a week and that solves the problem.

Overall, very happy and easily entertained! He loves his tiger!

We call him "trouble" and "silly Si" because that is what he usually is. If not, he is looking for some trouble to get in to!

He had 2 immunizations at this appointment. One of which gave us a terrible scare 8 days later!

He started having a fever late one night, it had been a hectic day of traveling and everyone was off schedule, getting colds, and we gave him some tylenol and put him to bed.

The next morning he woke with a fever of 103.6 that quickly came down with tylenol/motrin being swapped out throughout the day.  Day continued okay with some moodiness and tantrums that were abnormal, but he is 15 months so it didn't seem too severe until nightfall.

That evening, Andrew went to work and things turned bad.  Silas started seizing/jerking and having a rash/welts! It was terrible and so hard to control him while it was going on. He was screaming and moving uncontrollably! I had Andrew call the doctor while he was at work because I don't think i would have been able to hear her/or her hear me (and Andrew was much calmer to get the information across!)

They said it sounded like he was having a reaction to his MMR vaccine and to keep doing what we were doing. (tylenol, motrin, and i had already given him benedryll at this point for his rash!) and to make sure his fever stayed under 104 thru the night. Luckily, about 10pm that night, things had calmed and he was able to sleep in his bed. (He had been seizing so severely, he had busted his lip pretty badly and gotten a nasty knot on his forehead- that was with me taking my hands off of him for a matter of seconds!)

The next morning, things were returning to normal and I hope we NEVER relive that terribleness!
